Mountaintop mining to be banned by EPA

The mountain top mining gonna be obstructed by the Obama government. This government also stated that it'll examine more than a hundred mining allowing reviewing about all the waste dumped into the rivers and streams. Obama government is adjusting the balance amid environmental concerns and mining and oil-drilling interests in favor of environmental protection. The EPA's move was praised by many environmentalists as it'll surely protect rivers and streams. In Appalachian area this decision would get hurt-stated by the coal industry. A spokesman for National Mining Association stated that due to this there's gonna be plunge in production and also it'll affect lot of jobs in that area.

Miners feel mining practice at mountaintop is quite comfortable to them as they feel it's safer and secured there and also done at economy which a very best alternative to traditional underground mining. But Environmental groups feel it's very hazardous as it augments hazardous heavy metals in water which results to damage of plant and animals life.

It was announced this Tuesday that army corps of engineers to deny mountaintop mining in west Virginia which proposed dumping mining debris into streams. All in all this prohibition is very good as it'll save all living beings from hazardous stuff and also keeps the streams and mountains clean and green.

15 Mining Operations warned to clean-up

In six states 15 mining operations have been warned by an agency called Federal Mine Safety and Health Administration to clean up their health and safety practices/face quite severe enforcement. This agency stated that injuries and illness could have been caused due to substantial & vital violations.

The mining operations are supposed to craft plans for sinking violations and will be examining intimately for 90 days. If they get better, MSHA says they won't be listed as having a pattern of violations, which results to quite difficult disciplinary action. It also specified the problem mines places viz. West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Utah, California and Nevada.

Several Flattened in Nimba county Mine Accident

As a minimum four people were apparently trapped underground and crushed to death at an alluvial mining site in Bahn, Nimba County.

Spectator reports specify that those killed remained buried beneath heavy earth, following a tremor as they passed out underground mining.

In Bahn, local mining agent when contacted by this reporter state that only one death had been reported as a consequence of the weekend accident.
